Interesting Comics Facts (from Wikipedia)

One of the first (if not the first) published comic strips was called the Yellow Kid. This strip was published in the late 1990s.

The first strip to have its characters age in real time was Lynn Johnston's For Better or For Worse, which is one of the twelve featured strips. Gasoline Alley was the first to ever age its characters, but not in real time. This strip is not one of the twelve featured, but is available from Go Comics using the navigation at the top of the page.

This site is dedicated to my father, who I used to compete with to see who could get to the comics section first as a child. In honor of him, shown below is a sample of his favorite strip.
